Hannah E. Swigert, President and founder of Columbia Financial, has been in the financial planning industry for 20 years. Throughout the late nineties, she taught continuing education for CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERSTM and provided best practices and support to financial advisors nationwide. 

Hannah discovered throughout her years of consulting that there was a significant lack of communication between clients’ various advisors which often derailed even the most comprehensive of financial plans. She frequently found herself acting as a liaison between attorneys, CPAs and business advisors on behalf of the client, and thus…..Columbia Financial was born.

Born and raised in Dayton, OH, Hannah has developed a passion for the business owner, particularly in the manufacturing sector upon which her home city was founded. Her primary goal is to bring value to the entrepreneurs that support the economic growth of the community by helping them reduce tax burdens, retain and attract key employees, and develop a plan for the business owner to exit in a way that ensures a comfortable retirement while keeping their life’s work financially sound and sustainable.

The core belief that financial planning is about planning for life is what drives Hannah to develop deep relationships with her clients, their children and grandchildren. She is committed to helping them create not only a successful retirement, but a meaningful legacy through creative estate plans and continued family guidance.

Hannah has served in various capacities for local political committees over the years and has a strong belief in supporting local charities. She is the mother of two sons, a voracious reader, loves football and boxing…..and most enjoys testing her culinary flair on family and friends.
